RAJOURI, Nov 17: A tragic incident occurred on Saturday morning in the Mamankote Shergari area of Chasana Tehsil, Reasi district, where Amir Lone, the son of Shaukat Ali from Panchayat Darman in Block Budhal, Rajouri district, was found dead under suspicious circumstances.
Amir, who had been running a chemist shop in the Mamankote Shergari area for a long time, was reported to have slipped from a mountain and fallen into a deep ditch, leading to his death. The news of the incident was conveyed to his father by a local resident over the phone.
However, Shaukat Ali, Amir’s father, has raised serious concerns about the nature of his son’s death. He believes Amir was either pushed off the cliff or murdered and later thrown down the ravine to stage the incident as an accident.
Expressing his doubts, Shaukat Ali urged the authorities to investigate the matter thoroughly and impartially. He emphasized the need for a professional investigation to uncover the truth and ensure justice for his son.
In response, the Chasana police have registered a case of death under suspicious circumstances. The body was sent for a postmortem examination, and after completing the necessary legal formalities, it was handed over to the family.
The police are awaiting the postmortem report, which will help determine whether the death was a result of foul play. If it is confirmed to be a murder, the authorities have assured that those responsible will face strict legal action.
