KATHUA, May 24: The family members supported by villagers of Sialana, Billawer blocked the Billawer road demanding the impartial enquiry into mysterious death of a youth who was found hanging.
The family members blocked the road and held a strong protest demonstration at Ramkot. The traffic was suspended on Billawer road for some time. The family members said that Rakesh Sharma, 24, son of Shankar Dass residents of Sialana, Ramkot was found hanging with a tree by villagers.
They said he was all right in the morning when he left his home. He has received a phone call from a girl and moved out of his house. After few hours the family received a call from locals that Rakesh is found hanging on a tree in forest area. They suspected that their son was murdered. He was hanged to a tree after murder. They demanded the enquiry of phone calls received by Rakesh Kumar before death. The main evidence is phone call made by a local girl.
Meanwhile, SHO Billawar, Jitender Singh reached on the spot and pacified the agitating family members and relatives of the youth and assured the strict action and fair enquiry into the matter. After getting assurance of fair enquiry, the protestor called off dharna and traffic was restored on the road.
