JAMMU, Mar 28: A 20-year-old youth was hacked to death allegedly by his friend here today, police said.
Uday Singh (20) son of Surjeet Singh of Gho Manhassa was attacked with a sharp-edged weapon allegedly by his friend Sumit Sharma at Saharan area after the duo had an altercation over some issue, resulting in injuries to the youth, police said.
“He was shifted to Government Medical College and hospital Jammu, where doctors declared him as dead on arrival,” police further said.
SHO Kahnachak, Rahul Mahajan told the Excelsior that a case FIR number 31/2023 under section 302 of the IPC has been registered at Police Station Kahnachak and further investigation started.
Meanwhile, on the direction of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Law and Order, a medical board has also been constituted to conduct the post-mortem of the youth tomorrow on March 29, 2023.
