JAMMU, Mar 31: A 25-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Phlian Mandaal area of city outskirts.
According to police spokesman, the youth identified as Krishan Kumar son of late Bansi Lal, a resident of Phlian Mandaal, allegedly ended his life by hanging self with the hook of a ceiling fan at his residence, late last night.
On getting information from family members, police reached the spot and shifted the dead body to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where after completing all medico-legal formalities it was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites.
The concerned police had registered a case and initiated proceedings under 174 CrPC.
