NOWSHERA, May 16: A 30-year-old youth committed suicide by using Dupatta of his girl friend at her rented room in Nowshera town this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Sumit Sharma, son of Ashok Kumar, resident of Nonyal. He was a driver. The girl hails from Daramsal village and was studying in Degree College, Nowshera. She had been putting up in a rented room in the town. The room was on first floor of the house. The boy mounted into the room through window during night and they had some tiff over some issue. The youth then used Dupatta of the girl for making noose and committed suicide by hanging from ceiling fan hook. The girl consumed some poisonous stuff but she later survived as the land lords shifted her to hospital and she responded to the treatment.
The police shifted the dead body of the youth to hospital for postmortem and later handed over to the family. A case has been registered for investigation. The police claims that love angle is the apparent cause behind the episode. The girl is student of BA Part-I of GDC Nowshera.
