KATHUA, June 10: A youth committed suicide by hanging himself with the ceiling of his house early this morning at his village Dadwara Billawar.
He was identified as Sohan Lal, 28, son of Bishan Dass. The reports said that youth who was fed up with his home problems took the extreme step. The Billawar Police has registered a case under Section 174. His body was handed over to his family members after postmortem for last rites. The postmortem was conducted at Billawar Hospital.
In another incident a house wife died after the stove caught fire when she was cooking the meals at her residence in village Mahanpur, Basholi in Kathua district this evening.
She was identified as Madhubala, 22, wife of Rampaul. The repots said that while cooking the meals this evening at her residence, the Kerosene oil leaked from his stove and it caught fire resulting in multiple burn injuries to the lady.
She was taken to SDH Basholi for treatment. Seeing her condition critical doctors referred her to GMC Jammu. But she succumbed to her injuries while reaching Kali Bari, Kathua.
The Basholi Police has registered a case under Section 174 and her body has been kept in Basholi Hospital for postmortem after which it will be handed over to her in laws for last rites tomorrow.
