UDHAMPUR, May 24: Udhampur Police has arrested an accused who made a fake account on social media (Instagram) under a girl’s name and harassed her.
Based on a complaint lodged by the aggrieved girl, a case FIR number 69/2022 U/S 66 (c) was registered in Police Station Ramnagar and investigation was started by a special team, led by IC PP Ghordi PSI Rythm Sharma, under the supervision of SSP Udhampur Dr Vinod Kumar and SDPO Ramnagar Dr Bhishm Dubey.
With the help of technical surveillance, police sought the details of the fake Instagram account and was also able to identify the location of the user/admin of said social media account.
Police team successfully identified the admin of fake account as Rohit Sharma of Prowa Jagir, Jaganoo who was arrested today. Further investigation of the case is going on.
