RAJOURI, Feb 22: The police has arrested a youth for kidnapping and rape of the minor girl hailing from Peeri area of Budhal today.
A police spokesman said that acting on the complaint of father of the minor girl, the police party led by SI, Mohd Jehangir recovered the 17-year old girl from Thanna Mandi area today. The accused has been identified as Arshed Iqbal, son of Mohd Munshi, resident of Peeri Brahmana in Budhal. The girl belonged to the other community and there was lot of resentment among the locals in the area. She was kidnapped on February 12, 2013 from the area. The police sent the girl for Medical examination and then handed over to the family. A case under Section 376/363 RPC has been registered in this connection.
