NOWSHERA, Oct 9: A youth was arrested by police for committing rape on a young housewife at village Kampla in tehsil Nowshera of district Rajouri today.
Reports said 25-year-old Habba Khatoon (name changed), resident of village Kampla lodged an FIR with the Nowshera police that one Pritam Dass, son of Baldev Raj of Ladoka village barged in her house two days back and committed rape on her when she was alone. The accused also threatened to kill her two children if she opened mouth before anybody. Her husband had gone outside the State. She told the matter to her in-laws who along with their daughter-in-law moved to the police station and lodged FIR.
The police party led by SHO Yashpal Jamwal started investigation and arrested the accused Pritam Dass from Pukharni village today. The woman was sent for Medical examination.
