JAMMU, Oct 9: A youth was arrested for allegedly kidnapping and raping a minor girl in Manwal area, falling under the jurisdiction of Jhajjar Kotli Police Station.
As per police sources, a youth identified as Jivan Singh, son of Budhi Singh, a resident of Nagola allegedly kidnapped and raped a minor girl in Manwal area of Jhajjar Kotli Police Station.
The girl narrated the ordeal to her parents, who lodged a complaint with Police Station Jhajjar Kotli.
Acting swiftly, police registered a case under FIR number 124/14 under Section 363 and 376 RPC with Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and arrested the youth.
The girl was restored to family members after completing medical-legal formalities.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
