JAMMU, Feb 10: A 21-year-old youth was arrested by Jammu and Kashmir Police here at Janipur area of the District under the POCSO Act on Friday for allegedly molesting a minor girl, police said.
SHO Janipur Police Station, Vijay Kumar told the Excelsior, “the accused, Satvir Singh of Sunderbani, Rajouri, had come to attend a marriage ceremony here at his relative’s place in Janipur area, where he molested a minor girl”.
“On the complaint of the parents of the girl, the accused has been booked under POCSO Act and lodged behind the bars,” he said.
Further investigations are on, he added.
