MENDHAR, Apr 13: A youth landed up in hospital after he was severely beaten up by the Bihari labourers at village Saruti in Mendhar today.
A police spokesman said that five labourers were engaged in construction work in the house of one Faiz Ali at Saruti. During construction work, they had some tiff with the Shah Nawaz, son of Faiz Ali over a minor issue. It was followed by abuses and clash.
Shah Nawaz Ahmed was severely beaten up by the labourers and was injured. He sustained a head injury. The labourers fled the spot while one of them was over powered by the family members. The youth was removed to SDH Mendhar and later referred to District Hospital, Rajouri. A case has been registered with the local police. The captured labourer was later handed over to police.
