Youth jumps from Tawi bridge, hospitalised

JAMMU, May 6: A youth allegedly tried to end his life by jumping from a bridge in river Tawi here today, police sources said.
The injured youth was identified as Shoiab Malik, son of Mohammad Shafi, a resident of Peerkho District Jammu.
He was immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he was under treatment when last reports came in.
Gujjar Nagar Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
Meanwhile, the people expressed serious concern over the rising suicide cases. They said that the bridges over river Tawi have turned into suicide point.
The people demanded fencing of bridges over river Tawi to curb the suicide cases.
