SAMBA, Dec 26: A youth died in a road accident last night in the Supwal area of Samba district.
According to the information, the youth along with his friend was going towards Samba on the motorcycle and when they reached Supwal, suddenly the motorcycle collided with the divider on the Highway and both the youth fell down. Both of them were brought to District Hospital Samba with the help of local people.
Seeing the condition of one of them as critical, he was referred to the Government Medical College & Hospital (GMCH) Jammu, while the other had only minor injuries. The seriously injured youth died on reaching Jammu hospital. The deceased youth has been identified as 24-year-old Nitish Chaudhary, son of Kuldeep Raj, resident of Madoon, Samba.
After the post-mortem, the dead body was handed over to the family members for last rites. In this context, the police have taken cognizance of the matter.
