JAMMU, June 22: A 25-year-old youth was killed while a nine-year-old girl was injured in two separate road mishaps in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a youth identified as Ajay Sharma son of Shallo Ram, resident of Kothey Brahmana (Pargwal) was travelling on its bike bearing registration number JK02AH-4751 from Sua No 1 to Pargwal, when a tipper bearing registration number JK02AN-5585, hit his bike at Garkhal and left him seriously injured.
In serious condition, he was shifted to District Hospital, Akhnoor, where he succumbed to his injuries. The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for post mortem and a case in this connection was registered at police station Akhnoor.
In another incident, a 9-year-old girl identified as Dawa Dolma daughter of Zawang, resident of Zanskar (Kargil) was injured when the Taxi in which she was travelling with her elder sister and other passengers, turned turtle at Jhajjar Kotli. The injured girl was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment and a case in this connection was registered at police station Jhajjar Kotli.
