JAMMU, Aug 6: A 23-year-old boy today made an abortive attempt on his life by hanging himself in RS Pura area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, the boy identified as Vicky son of Bodh Raj, a resident of Marh today tried to end his life by hanging self with the hook of a ceiling fan at his residence but the incident was timely noticed by the family members, who immediately rushed him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where his condition was stated to be serious when the last reports came in.
The concerned police said that they had taken cognizance of the matter but could not say immediately why the boy took this extreme step.
