JAMMU, Aug 4: A young man today made an abortive attempt on his life by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Dansal area falling under the jurisdiction of police station Jhajjar Kotli.
He said the youth has been identified as Liyaqat Ali (24) son of Balkar Mohd of Dansal in Jhajjar Kotli. He was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where his condition is stated to be stable, he added.
However, it was not known why he took this extreme step. The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter and started investigations.
