JAMMU, Jan 18: A young man today made an abortive attempt on his life by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Arnia area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, the youth identified as Ankit Saini (18) son of Shiv Ram, a resident of Mandwala in Arnia allegedly tried to end his life by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence. The family members immediately rushed him to nearby Government hospital from where he was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for treatment.
The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter. However, it was not immediately clear why he took such an extreme step.
