UDHAMPUR, Apr 29: A youth was brutally murdered allegedly by his in-laws at village Sui near Udhampur town, this afternoon.
The deceased, identified as Sunny (24), son of Billa Ram of Umara Udhampur, was apparently beaten to death. His body was found lying in fields near the house of his in-laws.
Sunny had gone to the house of his in-laws and he was heavily drunk at that time. Later his body with lathi blows and severe head injuries was found from a nearby field.
According to Incharge SSP Udhampur, Benam Tosh, the police was investigating the matter and arrests in this connection were likely soon as some female members of the family have been held for questioning.
