JAMMU, May 18: A youth was murdered over land dispute in Badyal Qazian area of tehsil RS Pura here.
However, acting swiftly, a team from Police Station RS Pura arrested both the accused brothers within 12 hours.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Rattan Lal, son of Karam Chand of Badyal Qazian with Police Station RS Pura stating that two persons identified as Rahul Kumar and Sunny Kumar, both sons of Om Parkash, a resident of Badyal Qazian attacked and murder his son Akshay Kumar over land dispute.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 101/2021 under Sections 302 and 34 IPC was registered at Police Station RS Pura and hunt was launched to nab the accused brothers.
A special team led by SHO RS Pura Inspector Jai Pal Sharma under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan and SP Headquarters Jammu Ramnish Gupta swung into action and arrested both the accused when they were trying to flee out of Jammu.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
