Youth murders friend

Srinagar, Mar 21: A youth was stabbed to death by his friend with an intention to grab Rs 25, 000 for from his possession after luring him to a secluded place in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Police said they have cracked the blind murder case of Mudasir Ahmad Rather son of Fateh Mohammad Rather of Hardu Dalwan, who was found dead few days back in Chadoora town and arrested his close friend identified as Mohammad Yaseen Yatoo son of Abdul Jabbar Yatoo of Yatoo Mohalla Chadoora.
SP Budgam, Mohammad Irshad in a press statement said that on March 17, Police received information that an unidentified body of a male with multiple wounds was lying at Dharmwari Chadoora. Police registered a case FIR number 34/14 under Section 302/RPC and started the investigation.
“During the investigation, police after developing some human and technical inputs zeroed in on Yaseen Yatoo son of Abdul Jabbar Yatoo of Yatoo Mohalla Chadoora who happened to be a close friend of deceased and it was established that he was the last one to be seen in the company of the victim,” Irshad said.
He said the accused revealed that on the day of the incident the deceased was carrying an amount of Rs 25000 and the accused developed intentions to grab the money.
“Yaseen lured the victim to a secluded place and killed him with a knife. The accused also stole the mobile phone of the deceased besides the cash amount of Rs 25000.”
Later on the accused secretly concealed the mobile phone, cash amount of Rs 25000 and the weapon of offence at his home.
“The accused was taken into the custody by the police. Police recovered the weapon of offence along with mobile phone and cash amount of Rs 25000 on his instance from his house,” police said.
