JAMMU, Jan 13: Former MLC Ravinder Sharma has asked the students and youth to prepare themselves for the further challenges of the competitive world and keep themselves updated with the important day today affairs on all aspects of life, in order to pass out from academic institutions as responsible citizens of the country.
Addressing a large gathering of students & parents and prominent citizens in a Talent Hunt Contest- cum- Exhibition organized by TMP School Nowshera, Sharma asked the students to prepare themselves for the ever growing competitive world and also abreast themselves with the changing scenario and daily developments on various fronts. Terming the students as future of the country and teachers as builders of the society and nation, he said purity of thoughts of individuals is essential for a healthy and harmonious society.
He said it is important that our children get the right education and proper guidance not only for rising in their educational and job prospects but also to emerge out as responsible citizens of this country. He emphasized the overall growth of the children and students to shape them up to the present and future challenges in the life, to judge and differentiate between right and wrong in every sphere of life. Only then they can contribute to the nation by adding to the creation of a health and harmonious atmosphere for overall peace and progress of the nation.
Sharma reminded the gathering about the preachings of Swami Vivekanand who was the first to propagate religious tolerance and mutual respect for the different religious beliefs & faiths for a harmonious society in the world. Father of nation Mahatma Gandhi advocated philosophy of tolerance for mutual co-existence based on non-violence which is biggest treasure and identity of our country.
He congratulated the management and faculty members of TMP School for the best performance of the students in different streams, as a result the school has attained a distinction in the area. A prize distribution and certificates of commendations were also provided to the best performers on the occasion.
