MENDHAR, Oct 14: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Mendhar police achieved success by recovering nearly one kilogram and 20 gms ganja during Naka at Jaba near Mendhar town today.
Official sources said that a Naka was laid at Jaba bridge by police team led by PSI, Sunil Sharma of Police Station, Mendhar constituted under the supervision of SDPO Mendhar, rounded up one suspect who turned suspicious on seeing police Naka. On search, 1kg and 20 gms of ganja was recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Davinder Singh (21), son of Ram Narayan, resident of Madhya Pardesh and at present Jaba, in Mendhar.
The police registered a case FIR No. 358/2021 U/S 8/21 NDPS against him. The accused was arrested. Further investigation of the case is going on.
