RAJOURI, Mar 16: The police arrested a youth and recovered about 3 kg and 600 gms of charas from his possession at Solki in Nowshera sector today.
Additional Superintendant of Police Nowshera, Girdhari Lal Sharma said that a team of Dharamsal Police Station headed by PSI Arun Bawa, under the supervision of SHO Dharamsal, Neeraj Chowdhary and SDPO Nowshera, Zakir Shaheen Mirza, during routine naka at Solki, intercepted an Auto No. JK11A 9647 and signalled to stop.
The auto- rickshaw was put to physical check and suspected narcotics was found placed well on the back seat of the vehicle.
Addl SP informed that in presence of Gazzeted officer, the vehicle was put to thorough frisking and three sealed packets of charas were recovered weighing 3 kilograms and 600 grams.
Accused identified as Shahid Ahmed Kabir, son of Kabir Hussain Qureshi has been arrested and the vehicle has been seized. Investigation into the case has been launched.
