POONCH, Feb 11: The police nabbed a drug-peddler along with a small consignment of heroin here today.
Official sources said that a police party from Poonch, led by Inspector Sureshwar Dev Singh during routine naka at Kanuiyan Chowk in Poonch, rounded up a suspect and during frisking recovered 20 gms of heroin from his possession.
He was later identified as Mumtaz Shah, son of Shah Mir Shah, resident of Ward No. 6, Poonch. He was arrested and a case FIR No. 24/ 2021, under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered against him. Further, investigation was in progress.
