BASOHLI, Feb 22: Youth of nation are with Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, said Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, former Minister and general secretary, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu Kashmir, while addressing a huge gathering here, today.
On the occasion, hundreds of youth joined BJP in presence of Dr. Manyal and Col. (Retd) Mahaan Singh, Chairman District Development Council (DDC), Kathua and district president, BJP Basohli.
Dr. Manyal said that the youth of country have realized that India can only grow under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. He said that district Kathua has witnessed huge development in the recent times. He said that district Kathua and particularly Kandi area comprising Basohli, Billawar and Bani were the most neglected areas of the district. In the BJP Government the district has achieved number one position in road connectivity and establishment of new educational institutions, he added.
Dr. Manyal said that a new Government Medical College for Kathua and an Engineering College in the district has fulfilled the desires of the youth of the area those who want to become doctors and engineers. He said that the recent historic victory of Bharatiya Janata Party in the DDC elections has proved that the people of the Jammu Kashmir UT and in particular the people of Kathua are with the BJP and Prime Minister, Modi.
Dr. Manyal welcomed the youth who joined the party today and assured the gathering that left over development works will be taken up at the earliest and the problem of drinking water in the area will be addressed very shortly.
The youth present in the gathering requested Dr. Manyal and Col. (retd) Mahaan Singh DDC Chairman to take up the issue of damaged road of Kathua Basohli at the earliest.
Later Dr. Manyal attended the meeting of the district committee of BJP Basohli along with former Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh and former MLA Bani Jeevan Lal.
The meeting was attended by the members of the district committee Basohli, Mandal presidents of the district, District Morcha presidents, DDC Councillors and BDC Chairpersons of different blocks. Also present were Presidents of municipal committees Basohli and Billawar.
