Srinagar July 1: A 25-year old youth who was shot at in Old Town area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district last evening succumbed today.
Militants last evening fired upon Sameer Ahmad Ahanger at Old Town Baramulla. Shopkeeper by profession, he suffered serious bullet injuries in his leg and abdomen and was shifted to a nearby district hospital for treatment.
Soon after the incident, security forces reached the spot and launched a hunt to nab the assailants.
This morning he succumbed to injuries in Srinagar.
