POONCH, May 30: A 25-year-old youth died on Monday evening after slipping into a river at Chamber in Mandi area of Poonch district.
Reports said after closing his readymade shop in main market Mandi, he was on his way back towards home when suddenly his foot slipped and he fell down into the river. When he did not reach home, family members and locals started his search and found his dead body in the river.
Deceased was identified as Tariq Ahmed Lone, son of Abdul Gaffar Lone, resident of Kalas Chamber in Mandi. Hundreds of people from different areas of Mandi attended his funeral.
