JAMMU, June 7: A youth today slipped from a passenger bus and was crushed to death on National Highway in Samba district, police said here.
Divender Singh, son of Sucha Singh of Tanda who tried to board the bus for Jammu slipped from it and came under its wheel resulting in his death on the spot at Sapwal near Vijaypur, official said.
The police said that the bus bearing number JK02BA 5627 was on its way from Kathua to Jammu. The driver of the bus has been arrested and Sapwal Police has registered a case against him.
The body was handed over to its relatives after postmortem for last rites.
