JAMMU, June 16: A youth was injured today after he was attacked by a man with a sharp edged weapon at Peer Mitha.
According to a police official, over some unknown issue, two persons namely Ashwani Kumar (53) alias Sethi son of late Munshi Ram, resident of Peer Mitha and Sonu Sharma (30) son of late Kaka Ram, resident of Peer Mitha had a quarrel tonight.
He said in a fit of rage Ashwani attacked Sonu with a kitchen knife. “In the attack, Sonu received stab injury in his abdomen and was immediately rushed to GMC Jammu for treatment,” he said, adding Ashwani also got some minor injuries in the clash.
The official said that a case FIR No 38/2019 under Sections 307/341/RPC 4/25 Arms Act was registered at police station Peer Mitha and the accused Ashwani was arrested.
