JAMMU, Feb 25: A 25-year-old youth was today attacked with sharp edged weapons by some miscreants in RS Pura area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, the victim identified as Bunny Gupta son of Lok Raj Gupta, a resident of Ward No 3, RS Pura, had gone to the market near his residence when a group of six persons intercepted him and then attacked with sharp edged weapons over some old enmity.
“In the attack, Bunny received various injuries over his body. The blood-ridden Bunny was immediately shifted to Government hospital RS Pura, from where he was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu”, the spokesman said.
He further informed that the family members of the victim later took him to a private hospital in Amritsar for specialized treatment.
“On the complaint of the father of the victim, a case FIR No 27/2016 under Sections 307/ 341/ 323/ 147/ 149 RPC 4/25 Arms Act was registered against six persons namely Nagi and Rahul of Musachak, Janu and Raja of Ward No 10, RS Pura, and Lucky and Akash of Mukya”, the spokesman said adding efforts were on to nab them.
