Srinagar, Feb 29: Scores of youth today staged a protest against proposed plan of Municipal Committee Shopian in South Kashmir to turn Public Park into a car parking.
The youth while raising slogans against the concerned department said that it was a lone park for the people of Shopian Town and should be developed for the people instead of car parking.
“There are other places where car parking can be established in Shopian. But we are concerned over the proposed plan of MC Shopian to convert this park into a car-parking. We appeal higher-authorities to look into the matter,” said the protesting youth.
