JAMMU, May 18: A 22-year-old from Madhya Pradesh died today due to burn injuries received by him in a fire incident occurred late last night in a shop in Gandhi Nagar area of city outskirts.
The deceased has been identified as Ravi Kumar son of Ravi Dass, who was presently living in Gole Market (Gandhi Nagar, Jammu). Police sources said that he had suffered about 60 percent burn injuries in the fire that erupted last night at a fast food shop located at Gole Market (Gandhi Nagar), where he was working as an employee.
Sources said the fire had erupted in the shop due to LPG cylinder blast. The victim was undergoing treatment at Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he succumbed to his injuries today at about 8.34 AM.
Gandhi Nagar Police had taken cognizance of the matter, they added.
