UDHAMPUR, July 15: A truck conductor was washed away while taking bath in Virma nallah adjoining the National Highway in Udhampur this evening.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Younus (18), son of Mohammad Afzal of Sar Bagni, Ramsu. He was conductor of the truck JK02BG-0498 and had been taking bath along with another person in Virma nallah when he drowned.
On getting information, a Police party, led by SHO Udhampur Arjun Singh Chib rushed to the spot and fished out the body after two hour long operation. Later the body was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur for legal formalities and postmortem.
