RAMBAN, Sept 1: A youth here slipped into river Chenab at Seri and got washed away in strong water currents late Friday evening.
Police sources said that the youth, identified as Sonu Singh, 22, son of Soba Ram, resident of Mahore, district Reasi, along with his friends went to the river Chenab to take a bath and accidently slipped into the water and was washed away in strong water currents.
On getting information, rescue teams of Police and volunteers reached the spot and launched a search operation to locate the youth but till last reported he was not found.
Police said the youth was driver by profession.
