‘Youtharva 2016’ concludes

JAMMU, Mar 19: Two-day Management Fest ‘Youtharva 2016′ , organized by The Business School, University of Jammu,  concluded today with scintillating closing ceremony.
The Fest witnessed remarkable participations from seven Management Institutions from within and outside the State,  including CU-HP, CUJ (HR),CUJ (TTM), IMS, SHTM, ICccR&HRM and TBS, wherein a total of nine competitive events were held over two days. The overall champions’ trophy was lifted by the students of The Business School.
In his presidential address on the occasion, JU Vice-Chancellor Prof  R D Sharma called   upon the students for channelizing the energy towards positivity and in being truthful, ethical and moral. He asked the students to empower themselves through knowledge and work towards character building and emphasized that knowledge is a powerful tool that can never be stolen or destroyed.
S S  Sehgal, Executive President, J&K Bank Ltd, who was chief guest in  the prize distribution and valedictory ceremony, encouraged the students to explore the competitive environment and seek to face challenges of the corporate world.
Prof Keshav Sharma, Dean Faculty of Business Studies and Registrar JU, lauded the efforts of the faculty and students for successfully culminating the event.
Earlier,  Prof B C Sharma, Director the Business School,  said that the energies of the students can be channelized to make them take up initiatives that can become the cornerstone of transforming the organizations.
Prof Alka Sharma, Chair Fest 2016, shared highlights of the event and shared that proceeds of one of the events ‘earn your money’ will go to an NGO Aaradhna, as part of the CSR activity of The Business School. Proceedings of the valedictory function were conducted by Muneesha Behl and Mandeep Singh Chib, students from MBA.
