UDHAMPUR, Feb 25: Dead body of a youth was recovered from a nallah in Ramnagar area of district Udhampur this afternoon.
A police spokesman said that some people noticed the dead body lying on a big rock near Kagote bridge and informed police. Ramnagar police party reached the spot and it was noticed that youth had washed away in the nallah. He was later identified as Subash Chander, son of Amar Nath (retired Tehsildar), resident of Ward No. 7 Ramnagar. The youth was working as Medical Assistant at Batra hospital in Jammu.
The deceased went missing on February 23 from his home at Ramnagar and could not be traced. The family members were looking for him. The police registered a case and started inquest proceedings. The body was handed over to the family after postmortem at Ramnagar hospital.
