NEW DELHI: Indian YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani is set to receive the ‘YouTube Diamond Play Button’, for surpassing the 10 million subscription benchmark on his channel ‘Ashish Chanchlani Vines’.
This marks India’s third-biggest achievement on YouTube, in the comedy genre.
Launched in 2009, the channel has won millions of hearts across the country with 123 video uploads, since.
Funny anecdotes coupled with key Bollywood collaborations, have given Ashish’s videos a strong impetus towards securing a total of 842,807,007 video views, making him rank among the top five Indian creators on YouTube.
Till date, more than 70 of Ashish’s videos have trended on YouTube as the most watched, ranking under top 10 in just a week of the release; the latest one being ‘PUBG ek game katha’- based on the popular digital game, PUBG.
While vines remain an integral part of the channel’s portfolio, interesting Bollywood film promotional videos like the one with Akshay Kumar for ‘Gold’ and the recent with Shahid Kapoor for ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’, have also gained steam on his channel, recently.
