DODA, Apr 29: Young Star Cricket Club (YSCC) released a schedule for matches of forthcoming All India Cum International Level 8th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship, to be held from May 10 at Sports Stadium.
On the occasion, MLC Khalid Najib Suhrawardy was the chief guest whereas Ex President Municipal Committee Zafferullah Rather was the guest of honor.
Speaking on the occasion, Khalid Najeeb Suhrawardy said that such mega event in this far flung and remote area of Doda District where cricketers from every knock and corner of the State as well as outside State are taking part will give a good message for peace, communal harmony and co existence through out the country.
He assured the organizers that every kind of possible help would be provided to make this tournament successful and will also apprise Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, President JKCA Dr Farooq Abdullah for providing possible support for making this event successful.
While speaking, Patron YSCC Manzoor Ahmed Batt, said that apart from national level cricket teams, teams from countries like Srilanka, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe are also taking part in this cricket championship.
Among others present were Chairman Naseer Khora and general secretary Adv Ahtsham Batt, Prof Zahir Abass Hashmi, SHO Sajad Haider, Chartered Accountant to YSCC Raju Rana, Dr Akhtar Hussain, Ishtiaq Ahmed Dev, President Doda Welfare Society Mohammad Iqbal Balwan, Manager YSCC Mehboob Hassan Kraipak members of civil society, YSCC were also present.
