JAMMU, Aug 23: BJP State vice president, Yudhvir Sethi, today made a fervent appeal to youths of Kashmir to join the national mainstream and rejected the forces inimical to national unity and integrity.
Talking to reporters here today along BJP spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan he said that the recent “Tiranga Yatra” initiated on the directions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah, has not only received overwhelming response but also succeeded in bringing enthusiasm and inducing the feelings of patriotism among the people.
He made a fervent appeal to the youth of Kashmir, who have been misled by a handful of separatists and are being used for stone pelting to understand that the children of the so-called leaders of Valley are pursuing their studies outside Kashmir for a better career and none of them is on roads in Kashmir. He said that it hardly matters for separatists and Pakistan that if a youth or teenager from poor family is being killed or injured. He asked the youth to not fall into the trap of these leaders and rather come under the National Tricolour and give a loud and clear message that Kashmiri youth is as nationalist as those from Jammu, Ladakh or any other State of the country and they will not allow to disturb the social fabric.
He also appealed them to give a befitting replay to all such forces who are posing threat to the unity and integrity of the country. He said that the peace and development in J&K is not possible without the participation of Kashmiri youth and hence, they should be part of Modi’s Mission for the State.
He said that it happened for the first time that BJP celebrated the 70th Independence Day by organising different events and programmes spread over a fortnight with a motive of reaching the people in every nook and corner to remember the martyrs of Independence struggle and make public aware about the honour of the national Tricolour.
Yudhvir Sethi, who was overall incharge of the “Tiranga Yatra” for Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency, said the yatra in the Constituency was led by MP Jugal Kishore Sharma. It was given rousing reception not only in urban areas but the people, youth in particular, were seen feeling proud to join and get associated with the yatra even in rural areas.
