JAMMU, Jan 4: Yudhvir Sethi, vice president, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir while coming down heavily on the Congress party and its leaders including Rahul Gandhi for pursuing the anti-India tirade by conducting the Bharat Jodo Yatra and inviting the persons of doubtful and controversial credentials to join the same.
Terming Rahul’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ as ‘Bharat Todo Yatra’ he said that the welcome accorded to such controversial people who have been spewing venom against the Indian establishment goes to prove beyond doubt the malafide intentions of the Congress leader behind the organizing of the Yatra.
In a statement issued to media here today, while responding to participation of former RAW Chief AS Dulat in the Yatra and walking hand in hand with Rahul Gandhi, the senior BJP leader stated that Amarjit Singh Dulat is a former Special Director of the Indian Intelligence Bureau and former Secretary of the Research and Analysis Wing in 1999-2000. He added that even after retirement, he was appointed as an Advisor on Jammu and Kashmir affairs in the Prime Minister’s Office and served there from January 2000 to May 2004. He said that Dulat is known for his soft outlook towards separatists which helped dreaded terrorists.
Yudhvir said that it was Dulat who managed to ensure that Hizbul Mujahideen chief, Syed Salahuddin’s son gets a medical seat in Srinagar. He said that it is an open secret that Dulat has often supported and furthered Congress’ anti-BJP and pro-Pakistani propaganda. He said that very recently, AS Dulat even whitewashed the genocide and exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley, stating that the popular perception of the migration of Kashmiri Hindus differed from reality.
He said that what the people could expect of a decimated party like Congress when it is helplessly trying to garner support of the anti-India lobby protagonists. He said that Dulat is just one example among the group of anti-India protagonists.
Asserting that people are wise enough to see the malafide motives behind the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ and it is going to be a damp squib in J&K.
