POONCH, Sept 14: In a function held today, State BJP general secretary Yudhvir Sethi distributed shoes, fruits and other essential items among the inmates of Bal Ashram Poonch.
The BJP leader interacted with the care takers and inmates of the Bal Ashram, the building of which was gutted entirely last night due to suspected short- circuit.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Yudhvir Sethi said that people of the country are very fortunate that they are being served by such a philanthropic prime minister, who is working round the clock selflessly and with true nationalist spirit.
He specially made a reference of Prime Minister’s assertion that soon there will be only two castes in the country viz. the poor and those who want to alleviate poverty. He urged upon the party workers to serve the poor and downtrodden and made them aware of welfare schemes of the Government.
Shakeel Ahmed, District Social Welfare Officer Poonch, Nushrat Jabein, Superintendent, Bal Ashram Poonch, Rajinder Gupta, State secretary, Kamal Gupta, senior BJP leader and Rajiv Tandon (social activist) were also present.
