JAMMU, Dec 31: Yudhvir Sethi, vice president, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir has said that it is the collective responsibility of every Indian to revive the glory of the Sanskrit language by making all out efforts for its preservation and promotion as our civilization values are embedded in this language. He stated this during inaugural function of a Sanskrit training workshop here, today.
The seven day training workshop has been organized by Sanskrit Bharti Jammu and Kashmir in which more than a 150 students from across JK UT are participating. The workshop organized at Bawa Kailakhdev Mandir was inaugurated by Yudhvir Sethi who was the chief guest on the occasion.
The training classes are being conducted by the Sanskrit Bharti officials under the guidance and supervision of Sanskrit experts including Purshotam Dubey, president Sanskrit Bharti Jammu Kashmir, Prant Mantri Chander Sharma, Chief Lecturer Pankaj Shastri, Umesh Sharma and Dr. Swati. They are making students fully acquainted with this rich language and its usage especially focussing on the phonetics aspect that is highly significant so far as speech in a language is concerned.
While addressing the gathering of students, teachers and guests on the occasion, Sethi highlighted the importance on Sanskrit language and its deep rooted connection with the rich Indian culture. He said that it is the collective responsibility of every Indian to revive the glory of the Sanskrit language by making all out efforts for its preservation and promotion as our civilization values are embedded in this language. He said that even at the official level the New Education Policy has recommended the adequate promotion of this language.
He said that the J&K UT administration along with five official languages is making efforts to promote Sanskrit language as per the recommendations of the New Education Policy.
Yudhvir Sethi said that Sanskrit has been the only language of our country which has not only united different regions but also laid the foundation of a strong Guru Shishya Parampara. He said that the values of Sanskrit language were also recognised by great personalities like Albert Einstein, Oppenheimer, and Max Muller.
Meanwhile, Sethi lauded the marvellous role played by Sanskrit Bharti in promoting and preserving Sanskrit language by holding multiple workshops and training sessions.
