JAMMU, Sept 12: Yudhvir Sethi, J&K BJP vice president and Parmodh Kapahi, Jammu district president of the party, today paid glorious tribute to martyr Sanjay Kumar Siotra, who lost his life during the 2002 Raghunath Mandir militant attack.
A commemorative gathering was held in the memory of the brave martyr here, today. The programme was oragnised by Madan Gopal Tony, OBC leader of the party.
Yudhvir Sethi, reflecting on the sacrifices made by the people during the turbulent period, remarked, “We must never forget the sacrifices made by individuals like Sanjay Kumar Siotra, who laid down their lives in the service of the nation. Their courage and dedication continue to inspire us all.”
As a part of the ongoing Meri Mitti Mera Desh Campaign, Yudhvir Sethi and Parmodh Kapahi collected soil from the house of martyr Sanjay Kumar Siotra. This campaign seeks to connect with the rich cultural heritage and patriotic fervor of the land and its people. By collecting soil from significant locations associated with heroes like Sanjay Kumar Siotra, the campaign aims to pay homage to their memory and rekindle the spirit of nationalism.
Parmodh Kapahi urged the people to participate wholeheartedly in initiatives like Meri Mitti Mera Desh as a means of preserving the legacy of our brave hearts and strengthening the bonds of unity and solidarity.
The proceedings were conducted by Karan Singh, district vice president.
