JAMMU, Nov 19: In a significant step towards promoting community welfare and cultural preservation, Yudhvir Sethi, senior BJP leader and MLA of the East constituency, today kick started the construction of a hall within the premises of the historic Devi Dwara temple in Ward No. 11 for the tune of 70 lakhs.
This initiative is expected to provide a much-needed facility for religious and social activities, benefiting residents of the area and devotees of the temple.
Speaking at the occasion, Yudhvir Sethi emphasized the BJP’s commitment to preserving the cultural heritage of Jammu and addressing the needs of its people. “Devi Dwara temple is not just a place of worship; it is a symbol of our faith and identity. This hall will serve as a versatile space for organizing religious ceremonies, community gatherings, and cultural programmes, thereby strengthening our social fabric,” he said.
The BJP leader said that this project, which is being undertaken with the support of the local administration, was long-awaited by the residents of Ward No. 11. The hall is expected to be equipped with modern amenities to ensure comfort and functionality for all age groups.
Sethi complimented the Temple Management Committee and local representatives for their cooperation in realizing this project.
Lauding the efforts of the BJP-led Government in transforming Jammu’s infrastructure, the BJP leader reiterated his dedication to the development of the East constituency. He highlighted various initiatives already undertaken under his leadership, including road improvements, enhanced sanitation, and the construction of community centers.
Sethi urged the community to actively participate in the development process and assured them of his continued efforts to deliver projects that enhance the quality of life in the constituency.
