JAMMU, Oct 6: Yudhvir Sethi, Vice President Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir today asked the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Department to address the problems being faced by the people of Jammu city who are applying for new ration card.
He was speaking during the public grievances camp held at Pt Prem Nath Dogra Bhawan, Kacchi Chawni here today.
During the camp, Yudhvir Sethi along with Parveen Kerni Mandal President, Arun Sethi Vice President Mandal, Keshav Chopra and Ranju Sharma listened to grievances of the people.
Dozens of people attended the public grievances camp at the party office and put forth their woes pertaining to basic amenities including inadequate facilities at health centres and chaos in making new ration card, etc before the senior BJP leaders. They sought immediate resolution of their pressing issues.
Yudhvir Sethi, gave a keen and patient hearing to the people’s genuine issues.
After getting some of the issues resolved instantaneously by talking to the authorities concerned on phone, Sethi assured to take up the rest of their issues with the concerned authorities and get the same resolved at the earliest.
Raising serious concern over the problems being faced by the general public applying for new ration card, Sethi, on the spot, called telephonically a senior functionary of FCS&CA Department and asked him to look into the matter.
He said PM led Government has put services of every Government department online with an aim to provide corruption free and hassle free services to the general public. He said despite this if general public have been forced to face problem then it will not be tolerable.
Later during a separate meeting with the party cadre, the party workers and activists brought to the BJP Vice President’s notice various issues related to their functioning at ground level.
He listened to them patiently and assured them of resolving their issues brought to his notice at the earliest.
He asked them to become extra proactive at the grass roots level in view of the impending Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
