JAMMU, May 1: J&K BJP vice president, Yudhvir Sethi today called for a united effort for harmonious growth of the society, saying that the bonds of amity and brotherhood need to be further strengthened to make this world a better place to live in.
He was speaking at the annual celebrations of Maha Kali Temple at Circular Road here, today. Priya Sethi, National Executive Member (NEM) BJP and former Minister also accompanied the senior leader. The programme was organised by Kali Mata Mandir Committee.
Yudhvir said that promotion of harmonious society holds the key to creating an enabling environment for peace and progress of mankind. He emphasized upon maintaining communal harmony and brotherhood in the Jammu region while asserting that these are the hallmark of the City of Temples. He said that it is a result of this attitude that Jammu is well known across the nation for maintaining communal harmony and brotherhood amidst diversities in religion and faiths.
Sethi said that in the current times when the anti national and anti-social elements are hell bent upon disturbing the communal fabric, it is essential for the people of Jammu not to be led away by the provocative statements of such elements and maintain communal harmony at all costs.
Priya Sethi, former Minister, in her address, stressed the crucial need of strengthening the bonds and amity and brotherhood, saying this has been the cornerstone of Indian ethos. She said the spiritual land of India has emanated the message of humanity from times immemorial and guided humanity to peace, prosperity and spiritual bliss.
She urged the devotees, present on the occasion, to spread the message of love, peace and compassion, which, she said is imperative for national integration and promoting inclusiveness across the country and in Jammu and Kashmir. She hoped that everyone will play a role towards the growth of the society based on social justice and equality.
