Yudhvir Sethi inaugurates free medical camp at Geeta Bhawan

JAMMU, May 20: BJP State vice president, Yudhvir Sethi inaugurated a free medical camp at Geeta Bhawan Muthi near here today.
The medical camp was organised by Manipal Hospitals Trust in collaboration with Samevedna Charitable Trust wherein orthopaedics, cardiologists and general physicians checked large number of patients and distributed free medicines among them.
Speaking on the occasion, Yudhvir Sethi said this service of private hospital under Social Corporate Responsibility (SCR) will not only help patients but also keep medical fraternity abreast with their oath to serve humanity. He urged those who had come for their checkups to change their lifestyle habits as staying indoors, sedentary habits, wrong eatables, unplanned meals and no outdoor activities were primarily affecting their health.
Dr Rajeev Verma (Orthopaedic ), Dr Amit Bhasin (Gastro), Dr Sarita Gulati (Cardiac), Dr Rajendra (Physician) examined the patients and advised them future course of action. Organised by Amit Bagotra, Assistant Manager, Manipal Hospitals the camp benefitted about 200 patients from amongst whom many went for BMD, ECG, Suger and BP tests on the spot.
Omi Khajuria BJP district president Jammu, Rural, Rajesh Raina, president, Hari Market Business Association and Mukesh Sharma, general secretary, BJP Rural Jammu were also present on the occasion, who extended their help in ensuring success of free medical camp. Earlier, patients were enrolled and their case history prepared well in advance to save time and examine more patients.
The BJP vice president complimented the organisers for holding the free medical camp and hoped that they will continue their philanthropic work with much vigour and enthusiasm in order to help poor and needy or those who don’t want to visit doctors for no reasons.
Health camps at people’s door steps , he said encourage people to get themselves examined and lead a healthy life.
