JAMMU, Mar 31: Yuva Rajput Sabha-J&K (YRS) organized a solemn candle march to honor and mourn the martyrdom of B S Chib, Jaswant Singh, Tariq Hussain and Jasbir Singh.
The march, held from Press Club Dogra Chowk to Maharaja Hari Singh’s statue at Tawi Bridge, was a powerful demonstration of grief and protest against the administration’s alleged failure to address critical issues.
Led by YRS Chairman Raghubir Singh and President Vikram Singh Vicky, the event witnessed participation from the Core Committee and state team members, as well as a large gathering of supporters.
Carrying candles and placards, the members of YRS walked in silence, paying tribute to the departed souls who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
Addressing the gathering, Raghubir Singh expressed deep sorrow over the loss and emphasized the urgent need for justice and accountability. He stated that the sacrifices of these brave individuals should not go in vain and called upon the authorities to take immediate corrective measures.
Vikram Singh Vicky, while speaking on the occasion, highlighted the negligence of the administration in addressing the concerns of the people. He reiterated YRS’s commitment to fighting for justice and ensuring that such sacrifices receive due recognition. The leaders demanded an official inquiry and proper compensation for the families of the deceased.
The Core Committee members and state team echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing that the administration must acknowledge the gravity of the situation and take appropriate actions. They warned that if the authorities fail to respond effectively, YRS will intensify its protests in the coming days.
The candle march concluded with a moment of silence and prayers for the departed souls, as well as a renewed pledge by YRS to continue its struggle for justice.
