JAMMU, Sept 12: A public meeting was organized in the historical fort of Samba today, in which Yuva Rajput Sabha president,  Rajan Singh Happy participated with his team and after that a huge rally was organized in the town.
A large number of youth participated in the programme organized under the supervision of Young Rajput Sabha Samba team led by Kunwar Babar Singh and Lucky Sambyal and all in one voice demanded holiday be declared on Maharaja’s birthday.
Rajan Singh Happy, president of Yuva Rajput Sabha said that if the administration does not declare a holiday by the stipulated time, then Sabha will resort to an agitation on September 23. He said that the entire Dogra community has now raised one voice and all have to rise above caste and fight for the holiday.
He said that the Dogras of Jammu will have to join hands in the name of Maharaja Hari Singh and only think for Dogras and Dogra culture. Rajan Singh Happy said that if the administration does not want to make it a point and does not want to see a movement like the Amarnath land agitation of 2008, then it should declare a holiday at the earliest so that the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh will celebrate September 23 like Diwali.
Later a rally was taken out in the town and slogan shouting people demanded that they will not budge an inch from their stand on holiday.
The rally ended in the main square after passing through the main market of Samba, in which the local youth participated enthusiastically. The prominent including Shivkaran Singh, Romesh Kumar Hansa, Sandeep Singh, Navi Sambyal, Mandeep Singh Chib were present.
